I think that a rice cooker is very convenient, as you can use it to cook many dishes in it.



I love to use it as all we have to do is put all the ingredients into the rice cooker and press the bottom. And you get a delicious one-dish meal without having to do anything much!
Today, it's time for one of my favorite rice dishes "オムライス" or omelet rice. A combination of chicken and ketchup fried rice and omelet.
But it's a lot easier.
As you don't have to cook the rice then fry it over the strove, but just put everything into a bowl of the rice cooker and press the bottom.
Not only the rice is very easy to make but the omelet is easy too as this time we don't wrap the rice with the omelet ^^. By putting the mayonnaise into the egg, your omelet will be more fluffy and softer too.

Rice cooker omelet rice
Serve 2-4 people 
(depends on how hungry you are ^^)



300 g ............................. Chicken thigh
2 cups (360ml) .............. Thai jasmine rice
50 g ................................ Green peas
60 g ................................ Finely chopped onion
1 ..................................... Tomato, cut into 1 cm pieces
20 g ............................... Butter
100 ml ........................... Ketchup
400 ml .......................... Water
1 tsp .............................. Sugar
1 tsp .............................. Salt
1/2 ................................ of bouillon cube
Omelet (per  1 person)
...................................... Butter
2 .................................. Eggs
1 tbsp .......................... Mayonnaise
..................................... Pinch of salt


 I use Thai jasmine rice.

 Cut the chicken thigh into small pieces. Season with salt and pepper, knead lightly, and let it rest for 15 minutes.

 Wash the rice.
And drain the rice.

 Put the rice in a bowl of the rice cooker.
Put the chicken, green peas, and onion into the bowl.

 Add the tomato and butter into the bowl.

 Mix the ketchup with water, salt, sugar, and bouillon cube.

 Pour the mixture into the bowl.

 Cook the rice using standard cooking.

 When finished, lightly mix the rice.
And spoon onto a plate.

 Place a frying pan over medium heat, and put butter into the pan.

 Mix the eggs, mayonnaise, and salt together.

 Pour into the prepared pan, cook until the egg just set.

Place the omelet over the rice, drizzle with ketchup before serving.
